    In this key impact role, you'll fill an important need by taking control of the vibration and oil data analysis for our rotating equipment. It's a new function that you'll enjoy building from the ground up, creating a program, collecting data, analyzing and interpreting the data and presenting it to management. You'll have front line access to information that could lead to significant cost savings for the plant.     In this position you'll work within the Maintenance Department to improve plant safety, reliability, efficiency, and the quality of plant operations. As Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting day-to-day equipment operations, developing the systems and measurements necessary to improve equipment on-stream time and availability. Quick question for you - click here Your focus will be on rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors and steam turbines. You'll be responsible for maintaining and updating the Mechanical Integrity Program, and determining and maintaining the proper critical equipment spare parts.

    Specifically you will:

    - Lead the plant Reliability Centered Manufacturing (RCM) program as a cornerstone of the reliability efforts, insuring the prompt follow-up of all findings.
    - Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) reviews of all equipment failures, and develop a long range capital plan for the replacement of equipment.
    - Assume responsibility for the day-to-day monitoring and performance of plant rotating equipment, implementing reliability and efficiency upgrades, conducting performance tests and troubleshooting issues relating to the rotating equipment.
    - Develop and maintain predictive and preventative maintenance (PM) programs for process equipment using condition based monitoring methods like vibration analysis, oil analysis, infra-red and ultrasonics.
    - Establish and maintain the proper PM and spare parts inventories using RCM.
    - Formulate the resources required to ensure that production performance meets the quality assurance specifications needed to meet the identified needs of both internal and external customers.

    Your high reaching mission will be to develop and implement the changes necessary to create major cost reduction programs that improve efficiency and reliability, and reduce the overall product costs. To achieve that goal you'll:

    - Assist in the analysis of process variations and recommend corrective actions.
    - Formulate the resources required to plan, develop and implement large scale process equipment improvements that enhance or maintain product quality and production efficiencies, meeting specific customer requirements and production needs.
    - Actively participate and lead as a member of the Manufacturing Excellence network aimed at efforts to improve ME core programs (RCM, 5S, RCFA) and develop metrics to guide and prioritize initiatives.

    Once developed and built, you'll communicate and implement best practices between and among plants.

    REQUIREMENTS

    To be successful in this position you will have:

    - A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or ten years of equivalent experience.
    - A minimum of ten years' experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably a petro-chemical or refinery site, including three or more years working directly with rotating equipment. Quick question for you - click here
    - Knowledge of rotating equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
    - Three to five years of experience in vibration analysis. Level II certification is highly preferred.
    - Three to five years of experience in oil analysis. Level I or higher certification is preferred.
    - Knowledge and three to five years of experience in reliability principles and techniques. CMP certification is preferred.
    - Knowledge of hydrogen peroxide manufacturing and process technology would be an asset.
    - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; some managerial experience would be a plus.
